The Krannert School of Management: a premier, globally recognized leader in business education

There are so many reasons I am proud to be the dean of the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Through this blog I would like to share some of those reasons with you, and tell you about the people and programs that make the Krannert School of Management a premier, globally recognized leader that integrates science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) into a complete business education.

When potential students travel to West Lafayette for campus visits, or when companies call to recruit our students, I tell them we are honored to have them at Purdue. But, they should feel honored too. Honored to be considered for admission at the same University where Neil Armstrong earned a degree, along with 22 other astronauts. Privileged to be recruiting students who have absorbed the wisdom of some of the best faculty in the world, like Ei-ichi Negishi, the winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize in chemistry.  Humbled to know some of the world’s top business executives were produced right here at the Krannert School of Management, including Beth Brooke on the Forbes list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2012. And, because we are a state-supported institution, we offer an internationally recognized business education at an accessible price. I have to say, it may be the greatest return on investment our students will ever make.

Beyond the classroom, being on campus with students and faculty of the highest caliber from all over the world makes an education from Krannert that much more complete. Students have many opportunities in small-group settings and through the 19 student organizations Krannert offers (with an additional 750+ campus-wide) to interact with students from other countries and cultures. Although many undergraduates, and almost all graduate students, have a study abroad experience, you will have a greater understanding and empathy for other cultures just as a result of interactions on the West Lafayette campus.

I look forward to sharing more details about Krannert School of Management and our unique programs.  Please check this space regularly so I can tell you more about why I am so very proud to be a part of the exceptional programs we offer at the Purdue University Krannert School of Management.

Warm Regards,

Chris Earley
Dean, Krannert School of Management
